The Gallery season has drawn to a close. I have spent the past while finishing up commissions pieces. At one time there were 6 to be completed. I am down to two. Often the commissions are gifts so I am unable to display the work until well after its completion. Some ways it kind of fun having a secret, but then I am proud of the piece and want to show it off for others to enjoy. The painting displayed here is one of the commissions.
The works on the nautical chart paper continue to be popular as 5 of the six commission are on chart paper. However the regular painting was unique to create, but one has to wait to see that.
I had a surprise comment made to me the other day. Talking with an individual who follows me on Facebook did not think that the artwork that I was showing on my page was mine. They took it to be the work of someone else. They did not know I painted. At the same time one posting on Facebook surprised me as the post received over 160 likes which is well above my norm. A pleasing result.
So I continue to chip way, working with the brushes and paint. I have limited paintings, cards and calendars at this time which is different from other years. Still things move on.
