July has been good

July has been good

Well I got my calendar produced finally after what seemed like a Hugh delay, and received. It took about 4 contacts with the company.

I got down to the waterfront in Lunenburg at a kiosk, which is always enjoyable as I get to meet people who are interested in art.  It also gives a reason to talk about the town in itself.  It was a positive day with a number of painting sold along with postcards which are new this season, and the calendars are moving well. Another fun part of my time on the docks is that my granddaughter's piece of artwork also sold, much to her surprise.

I received an unexpected phone call in my car one morning from a lady who turned into a patron as they saw my work in one of the restaurants that they are featured.  Needless to say the painting 'J35' in Rebecca's sold.

Then sitting at the gallery on the first day of the gallery show my painting 'Wild and Rugged'.  It is always nice to meet the people who purchase my works.

I have also been commissioned to create a panel of three painting related to the Oven's Park.  So I have that to puzzle through.

So it has been a good month so far me as my painting are finding new homes. The art course I am taking is getting into interesting stuff which I am looking forward to learning.
